Accessibility Statement

This statement was initially effective on May 16, 2020.

This statement was last updated on November 30, 2025.

Health Now is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We actively work to ensure that our website and digital services comply with applicable accessibility standards, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.

We believe all patients should have equal access to information, care, and communication. Our commitment reflects our values of safety, inclusion, and patient-centered care.

Accessibility Standards and Guidelines

To support accessibility, Health Now strives to follow:

  • ADA Title III requirements for public-facing businesses

  • WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines for web content accessibility

  • Section 508 technical standards when applicable

  • Best practices for telehealth accessibility recommended by federal health agencies

We regularly review our website to identify and correct accessibility barriers.

Measures We Take to Support Accessibility

  • Health Now implements the following measures:

  • Using readable fonts and consistent heading hierarchies

  • Ensuring sufficient color contrast

  • Providing alt text for meaningful images

  • Labeling form fields clearly

  • Avoiding content that may cause seizures (e.g., flashing animations)

  • Structuring content to support keyboard navigation

  • Enabling zoom and responsive design for mobile accessibility

  • Ensuring links, buttons, and interactive elements have descriptive text

  • Providing transcripts or captions for embedded media where possible

  • We also use various tools to evaluate accessibility and identify areas for improvement.

Known Limitations

Despite our efforts to make all pages and content fully accessible, some elements may not always meet WCAG 2.1 AA criteria, such as:

  • Third-party widgets or embedded content

  • Older PDF documents or media files

  • Dynamic content controlled by external vendors (e.g., maps, embedded videos)

If you encounter an inaccessible element, please let us know so we can address it promptly.

Telehealth Accessibility

Because Health Now provides telehealth services, we take additional steps to support accessible virtual care:

  • Our telehealth platform (AdvancedMD with Zoom for Healthcare) includes options for closed captioning, adjustable audio settings, and compatibility with assistive technology.

  • We offer individualized accommodations upon request (e.g., extended appointment time, alternative communication formats).

We encourage patients to contact us in advance if specific accessibility needs are required for virtual visits.

Ongoing Efforts to Improve Accessibility

Website accessibility is an ongoing process. We review the site periodically and after major updates to ensure continued compliance with accessibility expectations.
We welcome feedback and strive to respond promptly to reported issues
